This course is designed to equip TVET trainees with practical knowledge and skills in applying economic principles to real-life situations. It focuses on how economic theories are used to solve problems in business, industry, government, and the community. Learners will explore key economic concepts such as demand and supply, production, market structures, and national income, with an emphasis on how these apply in the Kenyan economic context.
The course encourages critical thinking and decision-making skills by exposing learners to current economic issues like inflation, unemployment, taxation, and poverty reduction strategies. Through case studies, projects, and fieldwork, trainees will gain hands-on experience in analyzing economic trends, interpreting data, and making informed decisions that can positively impact businesses and communities.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to apply economic reasoning in entrepreneurship, management, and public policy settings.
